Catania Metro: News
Catania public transportation network is undergoing important changes. As of March 31, a few new stops are being added to the city metro line. The downtown station Piazza Stesicoro now connects with the main train station (Piazza Giovanni XXIII). It then follows to the upper downtown (Piazza Borgo) via the main high-end shopping street of the city (Corso Italia). The line reaches the residential areas of Catania: Milo, Nesima and San Nullo. Cibali and Nesima will start service in the near future. Besides, the Port (Harbour) station is to be opened in the near future as well.
This metro line has all chances to become the most important artery of the city.
