We had a fantastic holiday at Torremare. When we arrived it was Easter Sunday and we were told we would have great difficulty finding somewhere for lunch. However Vera who met us and showed us around immediately phoned a restaurant and got us a table. Through the entire holiday she was wonderful. From booking restaurants for us, tips on places to visit and preparing a fantastic Sicilian breakfast for us every morning. The villa itself is very grand each room having high ceilings, antique furniture and wonderful views of either mount etna or the sea. We would certainly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to visit Sicily. The only negatives and these in no way detracted from a wonderful holiday but could maybe be looked at for future guests, were 1. We very rarely were able to connect to the wifi. Which for most of us was not a problem but for the 20 year old that was with us it was. 2. The lounge and kitchen area were very small compared to the rest of the house and if you were going out every night this wouldn’t be a problem but as we have a small child we spend more evenings in than out. Despite these issues we have given this villa a 5 because of its luxurious interior, the location and because Vera made us feel so welcome and that anything we asked for was never any trouble.

The apartment “Azzurro” rented out by in Giardini Naxos was the perfect getaway and we could not recommend it highly enough! Irina maintained excellent communications with us from our pre-booking inquiries to meeting us on arrival to show us around the flat and give us tips on local attractions, all the way through to checking-in with us during our stay and coming to see as off as we left. She was attentive to all our queries and as helpful as you can possibly hope for in a host – in our case the AC broke down in one of the rooms during our stay and she did all she could to have it fixed as quickly as possible. The flat itself is ideally located across the road (20 meters) from the nicest, sandiest stretch of beach right in the heart of Giardini Naxos, the views from the balcony are spectacular and the flat itself beautiful, spacious and comfortable – we came with 2 kids and really appreciated the space as well as felt very safe (e.g. good rails in the balcony to stop kids climbing, falling, etc.). The flat is also well equipped – including a wifi dongle that my mobile could actually pick up from the beach across the road as well as a cappuccino maker! The only minor downsides I could possibly think of were that there is no oven or microwave, only a gas hob, and also no AC in the lounge – but neither of these troubled us too much. When windows are open it can also get somewhat noisy from the street/railway – but this would be the case for any flat in that area. All in all fantastic value for money, a wonderful holiday, please feel free to book with confidence!

A great spot with easily access the sea, and a good starting point to explore the area. We enjoyed our stay with our two kids (12 & 13)

House was spectacular, the rooms, the swimming pool, the view, everything was amazing. And Mrs Vera, was fabulous. She welcome us we some typical Sicilian pasta, offer even some home made wine coming directly from the property, and she was helping us and every single possible way. Our stay was amazing Thanks!

Antonio Parisi ('Torremare' villa/resort)

The house provided for us was very nice: closed private territory, lemon trees and 50 meters to the sea. When it’s not high season, there is literally no one there and you enjoy the Sicilian nature face to face. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. This location is especially good for travelers with a car – safe parking and proximity to all the Western Sicily coast must-see places. The interior of the house is also nice, not quite modern but very cosy. We really enjoyed our stay at Francesco and Oksana’s place!

Отличный вариант для любителей пляжного отдыха. Квартира красивая, все необходимое есть и все работает. Если ваша цель – пляж, вечерние прогулки у моря, сувениры и рестораны – то вам сюда.

Everything was as described and we didnt had any surprises. The people working with Oksana were helpful and kind and Oksana always showed to be available. Checkin and checkout went as smooth as possible and the house worked as a charm to our intentions. The view of Etna was priceless. Thank You Francesco & Oksana

We were in touch with Oksana before heading out to Sicily and she was great- very prompt and helpful in her response. When we arrived Irina picked us up from the GN – Recanati bus station (which is less than 5 mins away from the house!) and got us settled in with some things to drink in the fridge as well. The house is true to the pictures that we got before booking – very simple but very functional. The pros: – Great location for us as we were there for a conference and the conference hotel was at a stone throws, the shops are close as is the bus stop which is great for visiting other locations as well – The main town is a 15-20 min walk which was fine for us – The hotel/Recanati area is a more touristy area but still has lots of options for places to eat in case you don’t want to walk to the main strip – The beach is close by and although its a pebble beach (main town beach has sand) and a sharper drop into the water we preferred it – The balcony is lovely and we spent many a morning sitting there – it helped that we had almost no neighbours which meant peace and quiet as well as a great view for the practice run of the air show that was happening there the day we were leaving The cons – The house is very simple which means no toiletries, no insect repellent (MUCH needed) and no iron (which Irina kindly supplied upon request), also there were no supplies in the kitchen (e.g. oil) – but again, these were not a problem for us and especially as the shops are so close by there was no issue with finding any of these – The only aircon in the flat is in the sitting room so the bedroom can get warm – again we were very lucky with the weather but this may be a problem in case its hot In short, we had a great stay and would certainly return if we are ever back in Sicily. Thank you Irina and Oksana for all your help and we hope to see you again!

Very nice apartment in a good location. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants in Giardini-Naxos. Nice view over the sea from the balcony but a bit noisy because of the railway and road outside. Irina was a very good host and attentive to our needs. Stayed in September 2016

Hugues Goossens (‘Solemare’ cottage)

We had a great stay at the apartment, fantastic view. It’s only 5-10 min to walk to the Beach. We had with us our 1-year-old son. The way to the Beach would be easier without a baby stroller because it is some stairs you have to walk down to get there 🙂 Irina is a very nice host!

Ortwin Philipp ('Solemare' cottage)

The home (apartment) was much nicer than advertised. The surrounding gardens were gorgeous! the pool was fantastic and the views of mt. etna were something out of a travel guide. it is a little difficult to find at first and the roads, like most in that area, are narrow at times. this was very kid friendly rental and the hosts were very welcoming to them (we had 5). we only wish that there was a bbq onsite that we could have grilled fresh fish from the nearby fish markets….
