Oritigia
A top-notch destination, an amazing combination of history, architecture, sea and great food
Noto Antica
One of the Sicilian baroque towns featured in the UNESCO list, and arguably the most famous one. Gelato in front of the main cathedral makes the experience complete!
Ragusa
Ragusa Ibla – another late baroqe town deserving a day trip. Make a coffee-stop in Ispica on the way and enjoy Ragusa both architecture and food!

Modica is off-the-beaten-track though becoming more popular lately. Wonderful town, famous also fot its chocolate.

Cavagrande
Spring and summer are the best periods to enjoy a nice trek at Cavagrande nature reserve. The walk at Cavagrande involves walking quite a bit and the return is uphill. The views and the walk are rewarding but make sure you’re prepared for a light trekk!
Pantalica
One more nature reserve and one of the oldest necropolises in the world – deserves a special trip if are up for a good trek

The Valley of the Temples is the largest Ancient Greek archeological complex outside Greece. Agrigento and the Valley deserves at least an overnight stay and it is quite far from Siracuse, but as many people still do it we include it here.

Etna
